Flat-bottomed steel silos are widely used, and are generally used for large-diameter and large-capacity silos. This type of grain steel silo is easy to build and has a low cost. The discharge method can be fluidized discharge, multi-hole discharge, flat-bottom sweeper discharge, manual cleaning, or cement cone bottom discharge. This type of steel silo is mostly used in grain processing and storage industries such as oil, feed, flour, starch, brewing, ports, and grain depots. Features: simple structure, large capacity, multiple discharge methods, and easy maintenance.
Cone-bottom steel silo stores materials with self-flow out of the silo, has good self-cleaning effect and no residue. This silo is suitable for industries such as seeds, flour, rice cooker materials, breeding, cement, and chemicals with moderate storage and frequent clearing. The steel support structure of the cone-bottom steel silo is strong and the cone bottom strength is high.
The cone bottom slope is 40°, 45°, and 60°. Among them, the 60° cone bottom steel silo is suitable for storing granular and powdery materials with high viscosity.

Silo is made of hot galvanized steel, which makes it durable and weather resistant. It is specially used for bulk grain storage,such as wheat, maize, paddy,soybean, sunflower seeds, sorghum, barley,peanut and so on. The silo product has a designed lifetime of 30-50 years.

People use steel silo for storage grain began from 1930, in the first stage, the steel silo is riveting type, with 6-10 mm steel plate riveted, it is very stong.

In the second stage, the steel silo is welded type. People use 4-10mm thickness's steel plate to make the silo. Welding silo has a good air tightness, strength, and can be high altitude. But it also has some disadvantages, such as surface anti-corrision ability is poor, expensive steel consumption, higher maintenance cost.

In the third stage, the steel silo is thin-wall type. In normally, there are two models: prefabricated corrugated steel silo and screw steel silo. In the middle of 19th century, in order to meet the needs of bulk grain transportation, the thin-wall steel silo is widely used.
